Contingent Works, located in Bromley aims to redefine the co-working landscape. The company envisioned a space where comfort meets efficiency, resulting in a work environment that fuels individual productivity and collective innovation. With amenities like super-fast Wi-Fi, ergonomic workstations, private booths, meeting rooms and bike parking, they cultivated a dynamic ecosystem for the local community.
Bromley Council recommended the Supply Bromley programme to Founder, Ewan Buck in July 2024. Ewan was supported by his specialist adviser, Liam Hickey, who provided bespoke 1-2-1 advice virtually and face-to-face to ensure flexibility and responsiveness to the business’s needs.
During these sessions, it became apparent that the main issues for Contingent Works were profitability and understanding how to move towards this. They recognised an issue with their accountants, which resulted in a significant shift as they switched suppliers, showcasing their willingness to make bold decisions. Liam’s advice offered clarity, identifying other problematic areas that led to a review of pricing, with an upward push in their charges and adjustment to the service packages offered.
“During my mentoring sessions with Liam, we identified critical accounting issues that had been hindering the company’s growth. With his guidance, these problems were swiftly addressed, leading to streamlined operations and renewed confidence for myself. This experience underscores the power of seeking expert advice. Sometimes, an external perspective is what is needed to turn challenges into opportunities.”
