How we helped
Newable is a delivery partner for the Department for International Trade (DIT) in London and the South East and, in 2019, Atom were introduced to one of their International Trade Advisors, Qingling Guo, to assist them with their international strategy
Since then, Qingling has provided extensive support to help grow the company’s online exporting, via the Global Growth programme, and through ongoing support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Working closely with Atom, Qingling offered advice on the company‘s international business strategy to help them identify the right key markets to focus on, and made introductions to DIT’s overseas business network. Assistance in London from Qingling and from the local DIT team has helped Atom to deliver on their ambitious international growth plan.
“Qingling has been pivotal in keeping us up-to-date with government policy, and making vital introductions into other regions. She has provided expert advice on considerations of entering new markets. I hope that she will continue to be a part of our international growth going forwards, and I am hugely appreciative of her, and DIT’s, support to date.” Flo Simpson, Product Manager
Atom have now successfully signed up over 300 UK schools for their virtual classroom service, and are also working closely with over 20 international schools in Asia and the Middle East. The team have also managed to win two export contracts totalling £1.4m, in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. With ongoing support from Qingling, the company is keen to set itself even harder targets for 2021 and is now investigating opportunities across Asia, Africa and Europe.
